Ah yes. That's the same thing that happened to me. For some reason if heat misses and goes off screen, he constantly creates another version of himself relative to the player position. To explain this, you need to understand how Heat works.

There are actually 3 objects total that make up Heat. Though you actually only see one. He cycles through these objects every time you attack with him.

1. The Heat you see following you is called obj_heat_follow.

2. The heat you see attacking is called obj_heat_attack.

3. And after heat attacks and returns to his normal flying status, he is made into yet another object called obj_heat_return

Some where in the code, there is a piece of script that looks like this

if instance_exists(parent) //its here to prevent errors
{
clst=instance_nearest(x,y,parent) //finds closest instance of enemies
move_towards_point(clst.x,clst.y,30) //moves towards enemies at set speed
}
else
{
exit
}

All this basically does is check to find the closet enemy, if the enemy is on the screen and head towards that enemy. There's a bit more to it, but that's not important.

Anyways, I had this script set under keyboard_check_pressed=[vk_key_x]

Now having it set here, the code is only ran once. So the closest enemy's position is only returned to Heat that one time. This is the reason he missed in your video. That enemy that jumped was moving to fast for Heat to actually get there. Heat went for the coordinates returned from the enemy when you pressed X, but the enemy doesn't freeze or sit still. It continues to move, making the coordinates invalid.

So Heat soared right passed the enemy and fly off the screen (traveling at 30 pixels per second, The characters travel at 4 pps lol)

I had planned ahead for this, and had Heat's second object (obj_heat_attack) create obj_heat_follow relative to the player's current position. Unfortunately, like a dummy, I forgot to add in one simple little chunk of code.

obj_heat_attack was always going to be off screen, so there was no way to stop him from making hundreds of obj_heat_follow

All I had to do to remedy this, was put

destroy_instance(self)

in the outside view event. That way only one obj_heat_follow is actually made, instead of a non-stop stream of them.

Sorry to get all technical and stuff, and then make a giant post about it ;_;

Just wanted to explain why that was happening :D

For those of you that where waiting to play this until I got the last of the updates done (assuming there where people waiting for that), I just uploaded it five minutes ago. And you are free to play. :>

Although it's the last update, I still want any glitch information you happen to stumble across.

Any updates from here on out will only be glitch fixes. The gameplay itself is finished. You can download the game in my sig.

EDIT: No you can't use your previous save files on this version. I completely reworked quite a few things that would clash with your save file. Sorry

Me and my friend played through it again and we couldn't seem to find any glitches. The first puppet lvl was impossible to get past still. And the bosses seemed easier, not sure why.

I did make two certain bosses slightly easier. But not to the point where they are push overs. Your probably just such a bad ass by now that they were't even a slight challenge to you. As for level 4-1, do you think removing the darkness would make the level any easier? I mean it's totally easy for me as it is right now, but I keep getting complaints

Really fun,But I found that If You charge Twi's horn when you Die/Win level you can still hear the charging sound,and if you play as somepony who's not Twi, you can see the charge animation going on on the pony's head(as if they had a horn),and you can also fire the beam. Derp Tongue
