ZOMG RADIOHEAD
Here's another one from 1997.
Spoiler:
EDIT: Also, "How to Disappear Completely" is from Kid A, which was released in 2000. The songs themselves were more than likely recorded in 1999, though.

My iPod's loaded with classics. This is just a taste of the "oldies" that I listen to. Now you younguns out there listenin' to your Justin Bieber and your Miley Cyrus and your Big Time Rush just take a listen to some of these tracks. Discover what real music is.
by the way i know this remastered version of black came after 2000 but the song was originally released in 1991 so it counts

Age has absolutely nothing to do with musical quality.
Here's a song I like that just so happens to be from 1998.

WHY IS EVERYONE OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG?
I mean it's okay...
Krabbugz and Cloud, don't kill me.. I have heard it, and do like it. But I don't really love it. It has not grown on me.
but really, why are people so in love with this?

'Cause it's one of their precious "classics".
I'm the same way you are with "The Joker" by The Steve Miller Band. Everybody seems to like that song and unanimously shout "I love this song!" when it's played, but I've never liked it. I don't even really know why I'm not a fan of it, I just couldn't ever get into it, much like you with "Stairway to Heaven".
In any case, though, I like "Stairway to Heaven", and it just so happens to have been released in the year of 1971 CE, so I posted it. :study:

"We are all sick of the thing, but in some primordial way it is still number one. Everyone knows it... Even our dislike and mockery is ritualistic. The dumb parodies; the Wayne's World-inspired folklore about guitar shops demanding customers not play it; even Robert Plant's public disavowal of the song—all of these just prove the rule. "Stairway to Heaven" is not just number one. It is the One, the quintessence, the closest [album-oriented rock] will ever get you to the absolute." - Erik Davis
That pretty much sums up my feelings towards it. Not one of those songs that's so bad it's good, but it's a song that you constantly hear over and over again. Then once you've heard it so many times you're completely tired of it, you start to go through this phase where you've gotten so used to hearing it everywhere, you start to get disappointed when you don't hear it. Then, when you finally do hear it again, you can't help but feel relieved. At least, that's what I believe.

Not quite a classic, but to me it is. This game comes from my relatively early childhood.
