So what does everyone think of the Fallout series of games? Personally, I love 3 and New Vegas (probably equally, but for different reasons), and I am yet to play 1 & 2, though they are so different stylistically and gameplay wise that I am unsure what I would make of them.

So what are everyone elses opinions on these games?

Personally, Fallout 3 is my favourite. and if you get all the expansion packs? amazing! number 1 and 2 where both equally brilliant, i can play trhough them again and again, i never get bored Twilight Smile

Now. New Vegas. the only thing that made me play through that game was the fact its a continuation to the series. i hated Mojave wasteland. it didnt reflect the fallout experience as well. also the ending was awfull and didnt make any sense. definetly the worst Fallout.

Fallout Tactics was also quite interesting, but, once again, it didnt feel very Fallout'ish

I got all of the expansion packs for 3 and New Vegas, but imo, the ones for 3 are generally not that good. Don't even get me started on how terrible Mothership Zeta is. The DLC for New Vegas is great. Each story feels connected to the Wasteland, but still adds something new and different.

I suppose I am bit biased toward NV though, seeing as I played it first, and was the first console game I ever played.

I've never played a Fallout game, as much as I want to. Badly. Like, really really really badly.

Skyrim is also great. A million miles away from the Fallout series setting wise, but it still has the seem 'feel' to it. I noticed it in the transition from Oblivion to Fallout NV

Loved Fallout 3, will play it for ever and ever. I even decorate my Megaton House. I'm still creeped out by Point Lookout.

But Fallout NV.....I DO like it for the weapons and characters, and I ESPECIALLY love it for the DLCs, cause Lonesome Road was amazingly written, Old World Blues made me laugh, Dead Rights(or whatever it was called) creeped me out, and the one with the Natives and the Burning Man reminded me a LOT about the Native American struggles that happened in the Great Plains, but, like Mario said, it didn't really feel like a post-apocalyptic world. Plus, it was REALLY large.

But I oh-so love to screw over the Gun Runners by exposing a small glitch that lets me make 1000 caps again and again without even trying.

The Fallout games need an add-on like the Hearthfire one in Skyrim, where you can buy property and build and decorate your own home.

I have Fallout 3 that I still need to finish on my PS3, and NV on Steam. What little I've played of Fallout, I've loved - I really like the setting, gameplay and music.
